Mamma Onesta's Italian Restaurant is owned by the DeGrassi Family. A Local Family. Mamma Onesta's Italian Restaurant Opened on St. Joseph's Day March 19, 2008. Mamma Onesta's Means Honest Mother in Italian. We named it after our hard working honest mother Erminia DeGrassi. Erminia still bakes cookies for Mamma Onesta's restaurant. She won't let anyone else make them! She also looks over the restaurant from time to time with her husband of almost 60 years Francesco DeGrassi. They are both owners along with their son Frank DeGrassi (Owner/Manager) and his wife Mary. Frank's Sister Laura who owns an Italian Restaurant in Florida is also an owner. She helps with her many years of experience. You'll also see a few of Frank and Mary's 6 kids working the restaurant. Anthony (aka., Steel Blue Eyes), Ashley, Marty, Brian, Rachael and Frank Matthew.

  • Food was outstanding. However, salad was extremely skimpy and unimpressive. Acoustics were terrible. Improvement is sorely needed to make it a conversation-friendly restaurant.

  • I found Mama Onesta's one day searching on the Internet. Was very impressed with the reviews and the menu looked delicious! Took my wife that evening for dinner and was totally blown away! Not only was the food the best I ever had, but the service was incredible. We have been back many times since and have brought family and friends to enjoy. Now they love it like we do.

  • I just wanted to thank you so much for the lovely time we had yesterday at Mamma's for my son & daughter-in-law's baby shower. Everyone was so friendly and the food and service was excellent. I have had several messages from friends and family who were at the shower telling me how much they loved the facility where we hosted! Kudos to you and your staff!

    I visited your restaurant yesterday for the first time with three other friends. For three of us, it was our first visit and we were all delighted. (I stopped to talk to you on the way out.) The food was wonderful and our waitress, though she was very busy, was very attentive. Both prices and portion size were very good! The one girl had been here a few times,for the rest of us it was our first visit and we said would definitely be back again!

  • On this past Sat. evening our son-in-law picked your restaurant for his birthday dinner so the four of us came in and were so VERY PLEASED with our meals. He and our daughter have been there numerous times, and I certainly see why. I myself had the Zingara chicken, which was absolutely scrumptious, and the generous portions are like non other. Our service was excellent. I know you will be seeing us there again. Thank you for coming to Lockport. Janis michalak
